"Easy, Rodney, take it easy," Katie Brown was chanting as she guided him into Sickbay. "Carson!" she cried out.

Carson came at a run. "Aye, Rodney, what's going on?"

"Tried....to kill...." he wheezed.

"I did not," she said. "You just settle--"

"Get her....away from....me!" he panted, leaning into Carson.

Carson looked at her. "Lass, maybe you'd best wait outside."

Katie looked at him with wounded eyes and said, "It was an accident. I'm sorry." And walked out.

But now Rodney was concentrating on just drawing breath.

The reaction soon ended under Carson's expert care, and then he was in the observation phase when Carson asked, "Okay, so what happened?"

"She kissed me."

Carson blinked. "Okay, I'm lost. That wasn't a panic attack, that was an..."

"I know." He took a deep breath, relieved that he could again. "She poisoned me. That was a brand-new lipstick from earth. She didn't know it had citrus in the ingredients."

"So it was accidental."

"She still poisoned me." "

Rodney...."

He crossed his arms. "I'll forgive her. But I want her to stew tonight."

Carson shook his head and swatted Rodney on the arm with his clipboard.

"OW! CARSON!"

"You're a bloody idiot. Both of you."
