Sarah finished pinning her hair up and chuckled as she looked at the bowed back of her husband. “Oh, come on. It was bound to happen, we both knew it!”

Chris let out a moan that was equal parts miserable and amused, keeling back onto the bed. “I kept hopin' it wouldn't!”

“You warned me about this link. I was just waiting for this to happen.”

“Poor Ezra!” Chris laughed. “He's gone from embarrassed to completely mortified!”

“And if I know Vin...”

“Well, I forgive him.”

Chris passed that along, and his eyes turned emerald. “Sarah, I promise you – if I had known you and Chris were.... ah....”

She laughed. “He draws his shields for a reason, Ezra. Picking physical locks is one thing--”

“I swear to you, I will never pick his mental lock again! I am horribly sorry.”

He retreated, leaving Chris laughing. Sarah's laughter rose to join his as they embraced.

“I'll make it up to you,” he whispered.

“I know,” she whispered back, kissing him lightly. “Now let's go persuade Vin to cut it out before Ezra melts with shame!”
